Kansas
City Decks

Decks
are a fine art in Kansas City. Decks don't just have to fit the
landscape, they need to look like they grew there. Decks are made of
pressure treated, red cedar, redwood, tigerdeck and many other exitic
woods. We don't install
composite
decks, click here
to find out why. We will only ever install decks and decking materials
that we expect to still look good 20 years from now. We can even build
decks that will last more than 40 years in the Kansas City area.
Any
great deck starts with a meeting with a deck designer. These are often
deck builders that have a wealth of experience and they will help you
decide, how big, what shape of deck, how many levels of decks will work
for your needs and what will suit the home. Steve is your designer of
decks in Kansas City.
Steve is not merely a
designer of decks, he is a homebuilder and a renovation expert.

Our
decks built in Kansas City are not just decks - They are art. Art
happens when someone cares enough to practice their art to the point
that what they produce has a flawless and inspired look. Stephen Ledman
is that type of artisan builder. Decks with staircases that look every
bit as finished as those inside the home, yet, withstand the elements.
Decks with skirting that look more like an exterior finish on a home
than typical spaced boards on most decks. Decks with turned
ballustrades, rather than nailed on pickets. Decks made of exotic
hardwoods that last more than 40 years. Offering option makes our decks
in Kansas City the finest you will find.

Decks
that blend with the landscape are easy when you are the one planning
the landscape-- Just another of Stephen Ledman's many talents.
Decks
that have lighting thoughtfully tuned to give them that magical quality
at night--obviously when people have gatherings quite often. When you

Composite Decks, however there are certain places that composite may
not be the best choice for decks. Ask Steve whether it will meet your
expectations while you are planning your decks.
Decks often need privacy. The deck on
the
left has a 6' privacy Screen, and the deck on the right has an 8'
privacy screen. The height of the privacy screen required for a deck is
directly related to the degree of hideousness of what lays beyond...
that or your requirement for privacy. Lets face it, if your deck will
have a hot tub and your neighbour's house looks on, a privacy screen
may fit the bill. If your deck will feature a hot tub and a privacy
screen won't work due to placement, think about a pergola on your deck.
A privacy screen and densely covered roof (or a canopy), will most
certainly offer you complete privacy.
