Question:
I ordered but it said that the transaction
was not approved... I know there is room on my card.
Answer:
InternetSecure
handles our credit card transactions, and their system checks to see if
the mailing address matches the billing address that your credit card
company has. Unfortunately, they are very precise about it and many
people we speak to thinks that it is a silly way to do it. Many
addresses can be written many different ways, so we apoligise in
advance if you had issues. 1 in 10 seem to have to call their credit
card company to find out what they have for an address.
Question:
How long does it take to obtain wood
working plans?
Answer:
If you place your order by e-commerce or by
phone...downloadable plans come in an email normally within the hour.
Printed plans normally within a week.(depending on Postal
Service).
If you send us a cheque
by mail – usually within 10-14 days.
Question:
When we are ordering a downloadable plan,
it prompts for delivery type, but download isn't an option?
Answer:
Just
order choosing mail as delivery method. It is a glitch in the system
and we hope to have this issue resolved soon!
Question:
My order won't go through and I am using a
Mac.
Answer:
This
is another glitch and believe it or not, the site was designed on a
Mac-- If using a Macintosh operating system you cannot order through
this shopping cart. We ask that you please order by phone, or use any
other operating system to order. Sorry for the inconvenience.
Question:
How much experience do you need to build it
yourself?
Answer:
That really depends on the plan, however, if you can use a jigsaw, you
can build most of them.
Question:
I am hiring a contractor to do the
project... can't he just build by the picture?
Answer:
Most contractors are quite resourceful-however with the plans you can
expect his price to be lower-since the material list is done for him
and there is less head scratching to be done over the details. You will
get more value for your investment by using our plans.
There is a shortage of contractors in most
urban areas. Call 3 for an estimate and you may not even get a
price-unless you can show them exactly what you want.

What if I run into difficulties?
Answer:
We offer FREE support while you build your project by e-mail within 24
hours. There is an on-line support section so that you can
look up your plan and likely find your answers there.
Question:
Does the company supply assembled or
partially assembled structures?
Answer:
Yes, please see our locations page to find a local contractor
to you. If you don't see a listing in your area please contact head
office to check for availability.
Question:
Can the company supervise the construction
of our project?
Answer:
Yes, anywhere in the world. Pricing is based upon the scope and
location of the project.

Are your plans available in stores?
Answer:
Yes, they are available at Lee Valley Tools & better Garden
