This western red cedar deck with pergola is roughed in for a hot tub, and that is also the purpose of the pergola--to shield the hot tub from prying eyes. This deck utilizes our grade beam foundation for unstable ground. This deck was also exempt from permit requirements due to the fact that it is not attached to the dwelling and it is less than 24" from grade.
