This is a fully adaptable pergola plan. Build a small arbor, or a pergola with 30 support posts. Add trelliswork up to 8' long that uses stock sized materials rather than milled lumber that needs a tablesaw to make. Change the trelliswork density and make perfect sections using our step by step instructions and a calculator.  The headpiece connects with butt joints--no need for a fancy miter saw.  There are decorative post cap details if you have more skill--but as you can see here, the pergola and privacy screens look just fine without them. The rafter (beams), get cut with a jig-saw, so no fancy cnc machine is required.
