Pergola in Rosedale Toronto Canada

  (Based on Pergola Plan T005 PRO)This pergola was a collaboration between Elizabeth Tschopp Garden Design (now in Vancouver), and GardenStructure.com (known as Winterburn Group before the internet). She gave us concepts and we put the details to the plan. Something we still do quite often today. When photographed this pergola was 12 years old and well matured with gorgeous vines. The mortise and tennon keyless entry gates still worked fine and they mentioned they had to refinish once, however it had aged very gracefully. The whole project was too large to photograph in one shot--it contains roughly 70 posts and basically fills the 5000 sq' yard. (aside from the pool).  The entire structure was prefinished western red cedar and the natural stone was sourced from Owen Sound.
